My Stuff
40+ years of wasted time :)

Space Raiders
March 2021
My homage to the mighty Arcadia, a game for the ZX Spectrum that I loved playing many years ago. My first attempt at introducing different levels and a (simple) scrolling background.

Heigham Park Rangers
2010-2016
I spent a lot of time during this period helping to run a kids' football club. I also put together the club's first website, which was my first attempt at doing anything on the web. It is long since defunct, but I still have some screenshots to remind me how bad it was!

Valley of the Kings
October 1984
Written for the 48k ZX Spectrum, in glorious Sinclair Basic, this little text adventure was eventually advertised in C&VG (in VERY small type) and we sold just one copy. I remember the excitement when we received our one and only order! I wrote the game while my friend Paul prepared the loading screen and sorted out the "business" side of things.

You will need to download a ZX Spectrum emulator to play this game.
The game was obviously copied and distributed, because today you can find it on various ZX Spectrum websites. You can even find the solution online:

Cells & Hunch
August 1984
My first attempts at programming on the ZX Spectrum, which ended up being published in Home Computing Weekly. My friend David produced the graphics, while I wrote the games. I've never got round to typing them in and lost the cassette tape long ago, but the listing can be downloaded below.

You will also see my friend Paul's game, Starfox, listed alongside Cells and Hunch. "Three of a kind", as the magazine put it :)
